When you don’t give a hoot about something, you don’t care about it at all.
Hoot is a loud utterance; often in protest or opposition
Examples: ”I don’t give a hoot whether she talks to me or not.” * ” I don’t give a hoot whether the star is sent to jail or not.” * “The teacher doesn’t give a hoot whether we come to class or not.” * ”My friend Ganpat gives a hoot whether our team does well or not in the tournament.”
