‘play ball with someone’

When you play ball with someone you are cooperating with the individual.

Example: ”The members of the Opposition decided to play ball with the Prime Minister on the issue.” * ”The students decided not to play ball with the Principal.” * “If you want to get your promotion, you’d better play ball with me.”
